Wider Europe

Tandem connects cultural managers from European countries and neighbouring countries –  in this case Moldova, Ukraine and EU – who want to build long-term partnerships and expand their skills and networks.
Over the course of a year, 48 cultural managers developed innovative cross-border creative projects together.

Comics and fashion

In one of the projects Tatiana Popa and Silvana de Hillerin are bringing together traditional textile artists from rural Moldova with the contemporary fashion designer Isabell de Hillerin from Berlin. The result of ‘Eclectic Line’ was presented at the Fashion week in Berlin and Paris.
In the other Tandem, Yaroslav Minkin and Ewa Hubar co-created the first Ukrainian original comic book, based on the award winning novel by Serhiy Zhadan about life in the post-Soviet era. The comic book inspired a festival in Luhansk with performances, street art and workshops by artists from Ukraine and Poland.
